Customer: Town of Tonnay-Charente.

The Tonnay-Charente bridge, inaugurated in 1842, crosses the Charente upstream of the Martrou bridge, while preserving river navigation. When it was rebuilt in 1886, it was the first suspension bridge to be fully equipped with alternating-torsion ropes (Ferdinand Arnodin).
