We are an independent engineering company that has been serving French and international customers for 50 years. Over the past 30 years, we have focused our expertise on fiber and wire ropes applied to lifting, transportation and handling systems, as well as to fixed structures.
We are experts and ultra-specialists in mobile systems and fixed structures using fiber or wire ropes.
Innovation is in our DNA.
We have constantly developed our know-how to adapt and meet our customers' technical challenges. This has led us to create and market our own machines and systems (parachute brake system, overspeed governor, rope test stands, hybrid socket® termination, etc.).
Our aim has always been to do better, to deepen our know-how, and thus to be able to support our customers in what others can't do.

We can support our customers at every stage of their project. From conceptual design, through project management, detailed design, manufacturing, assembly and testing, right through to operation.
Rope
We provide our clients with the benefit of our unique expertise, derived from our R&D works, our active participation in the OIPEEC*, and 30 years of experience.
*International Organization for the Study of Ropes
Transportation systems
We work on all types of transportation systems using ropes and are proficient in the Machinery Directive (2006/42), the Lift Directive (2014/33), and the Cableway Directive (2016/424).
Emergency brake
We have developed onboard parachute braking units for special transportation systems.
Our commitment to minimizing human risk and integrating safety into machine design led us to develop a practical risk assessment method back in 1993. This method is a living tool, based on a deterministic FMEA-type approach, which we improve as we learn from experience.
Our knowledge and expertise regarding fiber and wire ropes is the result :
Jean-Marc Teissier was Chairman of the scientific committee and President of this organization from 2009 to 2019. Two other engineers from the team are also members of this organization.

Work carried out in collaboration with researchers and experts
Roland Verreet, Isabel Ridge, Donald Sayenga, Professor Oplatka, John Dodd, Nick O'Hear, ...
Our various research and development activities enhance our know-how. These are recognized through our CIR accreditation and are the source of several publications.
Knowledge acquired and methodologies developed over 30 years of customer contact
This know-how is now maintained by DEP engineers, some of whom are also members of the OIPEEC.
Today, we are committed to preserving and disseminating this heritage through training courses covering fields ranging from the history of rope to the design and use of rope systems.
